Getting the most from an astrology consultation
How to find your birth details, choose 30 or 60 minutes and prepare your questions.
A consultation is a live conversation with a Vedic astrologer, on a video call. A little preparation makes a big difference to what you get from it.
1. Find your birth details
The astrologer needs your date, time and place of birth. The time matters most: the rising sign (lagna) changes about every two hours, and much of a reading is built on it.
Where to find your birth time, best first:
2. Choose 30 or 60 minutes
3. Prepare your questions
Write down your two or three most important questions before the call, most important first, and give context:
Instead of
- "Will I move?"
- "Is this a good year?"
Try
- "I'm considering a move to Calgary next year. What does my chart suggest about the timing?"
- "I'm deciding between two job offers this spring. What should I weigh?"
For questions about a spouse, child or parent, their birth details help too, with their agreement.
4. On the day
- After paying, you book a time from the astrologer's open times, shown in your local time zone. The confirmation email has the video link, which opens in your browser. If no time suits you, tell us in the chat and we'll refund you in full.
- Consultations are in English or Hindi. Family members are welcome to join.
- Find a quiet place with a stable connection, and keep a pen and paper handy.
- Please don't record the session unless you've asked us first and the astrologer agrees.
What an astrologer can and can't help with
Astrology is a traditional practice of reflection and guidance. A consultation can help you think through a decision, a relationship or the timing of a plan. It can't predict events with certainty. It also doesn't replace a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or counsellor.
Our astrologers agree in writing to our rules:
- no frightening predictions;
- no promised results;
- no selling of gemstones, yantras or other remedies.
If something serious comes up, such as health, grief, a legal problem or your safety, a person from our team steps in.
Asking questions on WhatsApp is free. You see the price before you book.
Guidance only, and no result is promised. See our disclaimer.
